This weekend's shows featured fearless eggnog inspired songwriters, with Boo Detch winning the title "Iron Songwriter" and is now our songwriter in residence, advice from Santa, Buddy & Ebenezer, a thousand laughs and one bittersweet moment. Friday's show marked the final performance of Dylan Kinney. The founder of NCT, he is stepping down as Artistic Director and performer to marry the girl of his dreams. The highlights of his final show included him doing the Honeybadger Dance at an office Christmas party (that brought the house down) and featured him as "Czar Nicholas" in "Christmas in Stalingrad" by Infinite Jest, a performance worthy of the Bard himself. We wish him all the best in his upcoming marriage and his new life.

It was a festive holiday weekend at The Nashville Comedy Theater this past Friday and Saturday! Friday's show highlights include the civil engineer ballet, what would have happened if Jessica had pursued her dreams of running away to do standup comedy in "It's a Wonderful Improv" (it was very meta) met Karl, Bulletproof, Deathstar and Taco the reindeer, visited Antarctica and so so much more. Some of Saturday highlights were Jessica returning a "Goats in Trees Wall Calendar" Ethan as a Paula Dean Transformer (that transformed into a baked turkey of course) seeing the entirety of Home Alone in under a minute and the show closed with the special HOLIDAY Horror movie "Blood in the Batter" where 4 teens had to cover up an accidental murder in Louisiana back country during Christmas. Boy we are loving these holiday shows, and are sad to say there are only 2 more this month left to go. I'm off to go knit a new sweater for the shows on the 16th and 17th!
