 We've been going thought the NIC archives and have noticed some great statistics. In the past year we have taught 113 Nashville students improv during our classes and workshops. (Not counting corporate and private events which would put it well over 200) In ONE YEAR. Our students are a range from beginner-never-been-on-stage to seasoned professionals who ended up auditioning for us and being accepted (Andy, Jesse B, Chris, J-Dubs, Adrienne!) Out of those students who sign up for full time classes: ( 56 as of November 2nd) 48.21% of them continue training with us! 48%!!!One of our goals is to provide provide professional and regular opportunities to learn how to perform and apply improv without having to travel to Chicago or LA to do so, and are taught by trained instructors who perform and teach regularly.  Just when we thought we were finally recovered from the amazingness that was the last two shows we find that it's showtime again! Our shows keep getting bigger and better and tougher to top. Sarah going home with the sexy La Chupacabra in the Dating Game? Michael almost breaking his leg while sliding across the stage in World's Worst? We sure hope so. (Okay, we know we will. Why? It is that time again! (And it won’t happen again for 9 entire weeks!) Yes our next round of adult classes is about to start and there is still time to sign up! Classes start Saturday July 23rd, run from 10 a.m. to noon and run weekly through September 10th. In those eight weeks (which will fly by) you will have a guaranteed great time. Level 1 “You, you wanna learn improv!” taught by Lacie Madison will teach you that improv is fun, challenging and will leave you asking for more. Learn games, ‘tricks of the trade’ and that you can confidently walk onto an empty stage and create a moment that is real and hilarious. Level 3 is an intensive class taught by Michael Kearney designed to take all the knowledge you've learned in past classes and training and take you to the next level. Everyone in this class will receive individual tweaking, specialized attention, focusing on how to bring skills to the forefront and ways to improve. Well things sure are hopping around the Nashville Comedy Theater! Shows tonight and Saturday night at 8pm, preparing for our free workshop TOMORROW (we still have a few spots left but they are going fast) and we were honored to be featured in a great article in The Tennessean.
Then adult classes are starting next weekend, AND starting in August we will begin performing on the 1st and 3rd weekend of every month.

If you're between the ages of 12 and 17, now's your chance to become a comedian! In just one short week with our instructors, you can learn the skills, exercises, and games that the Nashville Comedy Theater's cast use on stage. We have morning sessions, afternoon sessions, and an all-day session. The all-day students will even get to put on a FREE show for their friends and family. Be the funniest kid in your class this fall.
Each class session requires a minimum of six students, and the maximum allowed is 15 per session. The half-day (morning OR afternoon) sessions will run July 18-22, and the full-day sessions will run July 25-29. The registration deadline for all youth camp sessions is July 11th at noon.
Class is more fun with a friend -- get someone to sign up with you, and you'll get $25 off of your class tuition!
Adults, don't feel left out. We've got a free two-hour workshop for adults coming up on July 16th from 1-3 p.m. Try out your skills, or discover some new comedic talent that you never knew you had! Our next 8-week session of adult classes will be starting up in late July, so now's the perfect chance to try it out for free, meet the instructors, and see some of the fun people that might be joining you if you take our regular classes. Space is limited to the first 30 adults to register.
