The Cast of the Nashville Improv Company

Lacie Madison

Lacie Madison
Lacie was drawn to Nashville by the promise of bright lights and stages full of songwriters, while still only being a 20 minute drive to any part of town. She spends her days teaching computer classes and helping people find employment. Her nights are spent cooking, visiting casinos, and at various trivia nights around town utilizing her homeschooled education to identify pre and post victorian clothing, civil war facts and music from the 1970’s. Improvising regularly since 2008, you will find her running the business side of things, plotting themes & games for shows, sharing the magic of improv with students and her second favorite part of improv, answering the phone.

Michael Kearney

Michael Kearney
Michael was born on the island of Oahu, moved all across the country as a Navy brat, became a child actor, won some awards and records, and collected all sorts of accents, cultural references, and preposterous stories along the way.  He decided to share his collection of useless information with the world of Improv, where all sorts of strange beasts and mutants live.  They have accepted him as one of their own, and allowed his hair to grow long, and his freak flag to fly high.

Jessica Moellendorf

Jessica Moellendorf
How long does a Yankee stay a Yankee after moving to the South? Forever. Just ask Jessica. For close to a decade now, Jessica has brought improv to a whole new level in NashVegas. Staying true to her Chicago roots, Jessica brings laughter and utter ridiculousness to the stage each night with her amigos of the Nashville Improv Company. Her love of the stage is rivaled only by her love of Hawaiian shave ice and antique porcelain ducks. When she’s not making biscuits at her day job, Jessica enjoys knitting shoes for cats and reading to blind people.

Jesse Briggs

Picture
Jesse was born and raised in Knoxville, but couldn't go to UT because he's allergic to "Rocky Top," so he went to MTSU and studied TV production. His first job took him to New Orleans where he became an expert in bead-throwing and penny slots. Here in Nashville he's become a Technical Media Operator at News 2 so he can shamelessly plug Nashville Improv Company whenever he wants. In his free time he enjoys dancing with swingers and mountain folk.

Ryan Leyhue

Picture
Ryan Leyhue's unquenchable thirst for attention naturally led him to the stage, and his equally obnoxious desire to prove to everyone how smart and funny he is led him into Improv.  Ryan has performed on stages (real and makeshift) all over the Southeast and selected parts of the coasts, including various theme parks, dinner shows, wrestling rings and pirate ships.  Ryan received formal Improv training from the good folks at SAK Comedy Lab in Orlando, Florida and can occasionally be seen teaching a thing or two about a thing or two to the Nashville Improv Company students.  Ryan also wrestles alligators.  So there's that.

Adrienne Curran

Picture
Adrienne's gypsy blood started with many childhood moves in Florida, Michigan, and Chattanooga and has then led her to life and improv in Montreal, Boston, Charlotte, and now Nashville, proving that an Arts degree still has merit somewhere.
From numerous marathons of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" and years of theatre, Adrienne fell for improv like a 50 ton Acme anvil on Wile E. Coyote.  She found a troupe her first week at McGill University, and followed that up by finding NIC during her first year in Nashville. She and her husband Joe live in Music City with 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 fish, and varying numbers of foster puppies.

Rachel Jackson

Picture
In South Nashville born and raised, in the theatre is where she spent most of her days!  By trade, Rachel works to beautify Nashville at Jòn Alan Salon.  Whether it was dancing, acting, cheering, or stunt work, Rachel has found many ways to bring drama to her everyday life. Her future plans include being the 6th Spice Girl, losing the fins so she can marry Prince Eric, and to sit on her throne as the Princess of Hair!

Ethan Bryant

Ethan Bryant
Ethan was born, grew up, and still currently lives in Glasgow, Kentucky. He appeared in numerous school plays, playing roles such as - Elvis, the Jungle Boy, Dorothy's dog-Toto, and the Letter 'T'. After high school, he started performing comedy in Nashville. His interests include bacon, The Lord of the Rings, Batman, deer jerky, and Errol Flynn movies.

Lauren Jones

Picture
Born in D.C. and raised in Atlanta, Lauren has come to Music city for LOVE - to be with her hubby-pie, chocolate mister. After washing over 75 loads of dirty clothes, Lauren came outside screaming and the Nashville Improv Company heard her cries.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Drama and English from the University of Georgia and has spent the bulk of her career in musicals, including: Freda in Cheezecake Boiz and The Diva, Taylor in Disney’s High School Musical at the Legacy Theatre, Grace in Junie B. Jones and A Lil' Monkey Business, and Jeanette in Crowns.

Denver Little

Picture
Denver is new to the city of Nashville. He comes from the distant land of Kansas, where he studied theatre at Baker University in Kansas City. While there he started an improv troupe called Loud Noises, now a permanent fixture at Baker University. After a short lived career as a professional cage fighter, he got married and entered the comedy scene in Kansas City. Two years later he moved to Nashville to continue his pursuit of a comedy career. In his spare time, he enjoys dog whispering and tricking vegans into eating chicken.

Traci King

Picture
Born and raised in Snellville, Georgia, Traci is not your average Southerner. She prefers mashed potatoes without gravy, skiing on snow rather than water, and listening to country rock while driving on a country road. So, these things place her above average on the elusive scale of Southern-ness. Probably. Traci caught the improv bug after being randomly selected to fill in at a high school improv competition. From the moment she started making sounds for a birthing cow, she’d found her home. She continued to hone her craft at Vanderbilt where her most notable roles were Mrs. Webb in Our Town and Mag in The Beauty Queen of Leanne.

Luke Watson

Picture
Luke quit his job, packed up his life in Atlanta and moved to Nashville.  Improv is a passion for Luke, starting with a brief stint in an Atlanta improv group.  He enjoys short walks near the beach, loves candy (sans chocolate), has a weakness for accents (even good fake ones), and dreams to one day become best friends with Kristen Wiig.
