Based out of Louisville, Kentucky, Damaged Goods has quickly become The River City’s premiere and most sought after improv comedy troupe. In just three short years, they’ve taken their special and unique brand of high energy short form improv games and managed to become a recognizable name in Louisville’s soaring and vibrant arts scene. In 2011, Damaged Goods was chosen as the 3rd place “Best Comedian” as well as the 3rd place “Best Performing Arts Group” as voted on by the people of Louisville in the LEO Readers’ Choice Awards. In April of 2013, Damaged Goods set a new standard for improv in Louisville as they were honorably selected to be a part of the 16th annual Chicago Improv Festival. Damaged Goods currently performs regularly at The Bard's Town Theater in Louisville.

El Guapo was created by veteran Second City & iO performers from the birthplace of longform improv. These Chicago players will dazzle you with a classic improv style rarely seen in Nashville, as they deftly weave an entire story inspired by you. In addition, the Nashville Improv Company will perform a brand new show called “VIVA NASHVILLE!” celebrating the city you love by showcasing styles and games you can only see here in Music City.

El Guapo:
Scott Elam is a proud Nashville native and Chicago resident. He has studied improv and sketch comedy at iO and the Second City. He performs regularly at iO with Sears Tower and also works for Second City aboard Norwegian Cruise Line ships. He is thrilled to be a guest of the Nashville Improv Company.

Joey Romaine plays a mixture of real and fictional characters, all connected in some way to the extended family of Victor "Pug" Henry, a middle-aged Naval Officer and confidant of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He would like to thank the Nashville Improv Company for letting him come play!

Mike Johnson was born and raised in Chicago. He currently is a member of Chicago's ComedySportz Theater and perfoms regularly at iO Theater with Sears Tower, Dinner Bell and Felt.

Adal Rifai has been improvising in Chicago since 2006. While having done many shows at both Second City and The Annoyance you can see Adal weekly at iO with the house team Revolver and with Whirled News Tonight. He has performed, taught and coached teams all over the U.S. and currently is coaching Sears Tower and teaching at iO. He also heads up the coaching and incubator programs at the Playground Theater in Chicago and performs and tours with the independent team Pudding-Thank-You. Adal is delighted to play in Nashville and can't wait to try Prince's hot chicken!

Registration for our next round of improv classes is now live! We love sharing the magic of improv with students, it's a heck of a lot of fun watching you learn to trust yourself, follow your brilliant instincts, make new friends and laugh for an extra 2 hours a week.
You get to play a lot of games we do in our shows, learn skills to last a lifetime and have so much fun while doing it.

We’re going back to the days where we had all the answers, and none of the responsibilities. All-nighters and highlighters, term papers and rolling papers, from Halo to YOLO, make-outs to hook-ups, it’s totally made-up. 

Also featuring a special performance by the NIC Advanced Level Students "Summer Stock" will be bringing you improvised musical games, and all the theatricals high-jinks by those crazy theater majors.

We’ve dedicated our lives to living & performing on the edge and we’ve often been asked, can you improvise the entire show? 

So on April 6th show we’re leaving EVERYTHING to chance. No rules, no setlists, no plans, the show is entirely in your hands. The audience will select all the games, create the show, cast them, and we’ll perform it right then! 

In addition, eight audience members will be given special “Power Cards” so they can modify the show in new and exciting ways! We love to prove that everything we do is totally spontaneous, because Improv is our middle name.

Our cast (who is very proud of their Irish heritage, imagined or not) are ready to enjoy an evening spent toasting, carousing and laughing as we entertain you with song, improvised comedy scenes, and several new St. Patrick's Day themed games, never seen before, and maybe never again! 
It will be an evening of pure entertainment to remember, that will include a special pre-show of live Irish Music performed by the cast of the NIC.

The students of Gordon College way up in snowy Massachusetts are escaping the blizzards and traveling to ‘balmy’ Nashville. Their tight schedule brought them here in the middle of the week, so we’re giving you a special opportunity to see great improv, and be a part of it too!

The Sweaty-Toothed Madmen are Gordon College's premiere comedy improvisation troupe. Founded in 1996, The Madmen have performed both Long-Form and Short-Form Improvised comedy at Gordon College, Improv Boston, several Boston and New England universities and schools, as well as occasional road-trips throughout the country. Laugh more, live longer.

The next round of improv class information at the Nashville Improv Company is live!  We are offering several levels of classes, so if you are new to the world of improv or have some training under your belt there is a great class for you.
Classes will be held in East Nashville. Classes are on Tuesday nights for 6 weeks March 12th - April 16th.  Class time will be from 7:30pm-9:30pm. Registration closes Sunday March 11th
